Thresholds
of the Sacred
Throughout different eras and geographies, civilizations have always been driven by something greater than themselves, materializing their beliefs in stone, sand, metal, and glass.
“Thresholds of the Sacred” traverses monumental architectures where devotion takes form, exploring humanity’s insatiable quest to represent the intangible: the DIVINE and the FAITH that sustains it.
These three groups of images invite the viewer to pass through temples, churches, and mosques, establishing a continuity that transcends theological differences. The spaces become unified, inviting contemplation not only of the places themselves but also of the very idea of the sacred — that which endures, repeats, unites and at the same time divides human beings beyond time and space.
Ancient Egypt, Christianity, and Islam propose a meditation on faith as architecture, on beauty as a shared language of representation, and on mystery as a constant in the history of that which can move mountains and bring forth miracles.
